outlook experienced serious problem with add-in

Running latest free version and defs with Outlook 2010 over XP/SP1.
On this system we’re also running Avira.
I just turned on debugging.

There are many recent mdmp files, and logs indicating registry entries couldn’t be changed and files cannot be written.
selfdef.log reports many registry key writes being denied and failing. That said, Setup.log seems to indicate all registry updates are successful.

I’m also an Outlook add-in developer, and while I don’t think this is related to my add-in, I can’t rule out that possibility.

Where do we send mdmp files?
What else can I do to help find and fix the error?

Thanks!

Besides updating XP to Spk 3, you could start to uninstall Avira. That is a no, no, to have 2 AV running in your system. Sooner or later they will conflict making your system weaker instead of stronger against malware. Who knows, even now, the problems you are encountering, might be related to that.

+1 Btw, you need at least XP SP2 to run avast!, but please update to SP3…!!!
