Outlook Express and Hotmail Acounts

I’m a new user of Avast and so far I am very impressed!

I ran the Email Wizard and it said it was unnecessary and protection was automatic. The scanner icon shows 6 out of 7 providers running and I have the “the provider is waiting for a subsystem to start” message for email. I use Outlook Express with one SMTP account and two hotmail accounts. I ran the email security tests at http://www.gfi.com/emailsecuritytest/ (great test!) using one of the hotmail accounts and everything was secure.

So is it safe to assume that all three email accounts are secure and I’m getting 6 out of 7 providers running and the subsystem message only because of the presence of the two hotmail accounts?

The message “The provider is waiting on the subsystem to start” will be shown there until you open MS Outlook.
The plugin will be enabled automatically after that.

The MS Outlook provider is not necessary if you use Outlook Express.

Outlook Express is protected by Internet Mail provider.
