Since I installed this brilliant program I have had no problems and it has removed many hefty viruses. One thing, when I load Outlook Express all I get is a blank box, and a loading cursor. After a extreme amount of waiting, nothing actually happens.
I have turned of both webmail and Outlook/Exchange options, and tried customising them too. Neither had any effect.
Can you point me in the right dircetion?

What do you mean? A blank splash screen while opening Outlook Express?
How do you connect to the Internet: ADSL (permanent) or dial-up?
Does OE is set to check messages when you open it?

I am using a 51k cable connection. Outlook Express should check e-mail when it loads, and collects enw e-mails fine. I can see a list of my old e-mails and can see the list of folders with all their emails. When I click on one of these, nothing loads in the preview box, and the same effect if I double click.
It simply tries to load for a VERY long time with nothing happening.
It’s strange… I do not think this is avast! related. I have the same configuration (except the cable connection) and I can open stored emails in any folder either in the preview panel (which is a lack of security in other hand ;D) or double clicking them.
You said that nothing happening but, at the end, are the messages shown in the screen or not?
Not avast! related?! Well It was okay before I used this program. I am not sure if it will eventualyl load, but I have left it for a damn long time with nothing but a hourglass.
Outlook can load e-mails fine, but I do not like Outlook as much as Express. Proves its not my host or whoever.
I have the same problem, Outlook takes forever to load. What can be done?
Oh, and I’m talking about Outlook 2003.
