Outlook - Spami - avast - ISP

Hi every body ;D ,

I’ve got a question about Spamihilator and AVST. I saw and read all the post about it but a question is alway there.

Outlook config pop3 : 127.0.0.1 on port 120
Spami config pop3 : 127.0.0.1 and account :
mypop3server&myusername&120

There I saw 8) that the link between Outlook and Spami is on localhost port 120.

But ??? you said for AVAST in the avast4.ini to put the poplisten to 127.0.0.1:110 and defaultpopserver=127.0.0.1:110.

There I see the link between Avast and ISP : port 110.

But how the link is done between Spami and AVAST ? Which port ? ???

Don’t confuse Avast 4.1 with 4.5. They have a different way of scanning mail. I suggest you upgrade to 4.5 beta (final is scheduled for release next saterday anyway) and only look/search on how to set that one up.

I think the best you can do is download the version 4.5 Beta because it uses a new mail detection that will work automatically. Please, set up your email account just as avast does not exists. It will detect the pop3/smpt/imap ports and scan your messages.
