I have downloaded from P2P A zip file after scanning it reports that trojan win32:vibpack (wrm) has been detected as I believe this to be a false positive I click on no action but eventualy I am presented with a message " Access path denial"
and refused futher progress intalling said program. How do I overcome this.

Well, I don’t think so. Generally, P2P does not give false positives. Seems a real infection.

avast! resident is avoiding the lauching of the program. The ‘no action’, probably, was used by the winzip while you’re unpacking the archive.
If I were you, I’ll submit the file to on-line scanners:
Jotti
Trendmicro
Virustotal.

  Best to avoid "suspect" P2P's and use the safer and
 "cleaner" Shareaza from www.shareaza.com .
