Overreaction?

VT flags the CCleaner download as infested with adware ( Win.Adware.Adgazelle-9). This adware is the opt-in Google component of the installer that is being detected as adware).

Yep, Pondus, it is a pity we seldom see an opt-out for these bundled goodies. But as it isn’t it malicious as such, but probably only unwanted this bundled adware comes as an opt-in! Loads of developers now start bundling adware to pay for “their kettles of hot water boiling”. ;D

Just updated CCleaner via program update. Checked downloaded file w/MBAM free, nothing detected. Not aware of an issue with PUP’s; update link will take you directly to the Piriform website and you can get your latest CC program file from there.
