P2P Shield cause a lookup if uTorrent is used

My own experience and the read of the FAQ in the uTorrent homepage (www.utorrent.com) make me write this post. Since i can’t find nothing related to this problem.
My machine suffer of temporaly lookups and a 100% of CPU if utoorent is downloading and the P2P resident shield in Avast Home is active. I found to unchek the box of the utorrent in the properties of the P2P Shield menu stops the problem, but i don’t want to feel unprotected. Any ideas???

P.D.: sorry about my english.

This is a common problem with all BitTorrent P2P programs. Probably because of high speeds and small chink sizes with fast buffer flushing…

I use uTorrent with scanning checked in Avast and face no such problem, are you behind a router or modem?

Your best bet is to disable the P2P scanner (for this torrent program only) - I also had this problem. Although you may feel ‘unsafe’, you still have the Avast! file scanner, and you can manually scan the files after the download if you would like, or when you try to access them Avast! will automatically scan them.

Hope this helps,
