package is broken

I received notice that my system did not update. But when I tried to, I received an error saying the package is broken. Any ideas?

Repair avast!:

  1. Control Panel → Add/Remove programs → avast!
  2. Scroll down and click on ‘Repair’.
  3. Follow instructions.
  4. Reboot.
