Hi there,
I know this topic has been discussed earlier.
But I wanted to start a new thread to remove some queries:
I have machines with 2 & 4 GB of physical memory @677MHZ .
System managed option, for page file is set on both.
My query is that in Advanced>Performance> Total paging is set at 2046 & 3965 MB respectively.
When clicked on Change, its displays> currently allocated 2046/3965, Recommended 3047 /4965 respective values again for both.
So what does that actually mean & imply?
Should I change it to custom set & place the recommended values?
Hoping to hear from you,
Regards!
If I were you, I’ll let Windows manage these files as it needs.
I’ve read a lot of time ago that the page file should be between 1 and 1,5 the size of the RAM memory, but I’m not sure this was just said for old computers.

I agree with Tech in that it is better to let Windows manage this automatically.
Thanks Tech & CharleyO for sharing your expert experience.
