Paid subscription then got email as canceled.

I had paid for the Internet Security for 3 years from a clean install of Avast. I had gotten the email with my order number and my CC got charged.
The following day I had gotten an email saying my subscription was canceled and I am getting a refund.
Then the next day I had gotten an error message on my Avast that my Subscription key was invalid.

I have not seen the refund as of yet. It has only been 4 days.
Why did this happen and what do I need to do to get this to work? ???
