panda false positive

hi, i was using panda cloud scanner from the legit pandasecurity site , but during installation avast block the temp file as a malware
he has the latest avast free updates, can someone test it and report as false positive or is it infected?

You cant use two AV’s at the same time.

and Panda does not encrypt there signatures… so guessing Panda cloud cashe will give loads of detections if you install it

many posts about that here with user that have installed Visicom Anti Phising toolbar that give tons of avast popups because of the unencrypted panda signatures they use

why you should not install muliple AV explained here

isnt the cloud scanner an online scanner? much like eset?

The short answer is no, not completely.

It can’t do everything from the cloud, it has to work on your system otherwise it would have to upload your system to scan it. So functions are going to be downloaded as would be the signatures.

Its weird when it is described as this ‘Panda Cloud Cleaner is a standalone, cloud-based malware scanner, which is designed to run alongside other security tools without conflicts.’

This statement is clearly wrong as here is your resident scanner detecting its signatures.

I also don’t understand the term standalone when cobbled together with the word cloud, a stand alone program is something independent of any other requirement, if it requires the cloud then I don’t see how it can be called standalone.

yes but it has a small cashe with the newest signatures so that it will also work if you dont have any internet

How does Panda Cloud Antivirus really work?
