Parameter incorrect????

After instaling the 4 home prog, when it starts it states Parameter incorrect, 87=parameter incorrect.
Anyone any idea’s? Have tried a reinstall with no success.

Install SP2 official release and the problem should be solved.

The latest build of avast! should work correctly even with SP2 beta.

Please do the following:

start > run > winver

let us know the exact number it shows.
It should look something like this:
Version 5.1 (build 2600.xpsp_sp2_rc.040803-2158 : Service Pack 2)

I ran the check, it reads:
Version 5.1 (build 2600.xpsp_sp2_rc1.040311-2115 : Service Pack 2

Yes, that’s the betaversion of the service pack (“rc1” means Release Candidate).
Even though I certainly suggest to update to the final version of the service pack, even this one should work with the latest version of avast! (build 546). Try to invoke avast! update to make sure you really have the latest one.
