password manager deletes all passwords every time I either enter them myself or when saving from a website logon. How do I fix this to have Password actually save my passwords?
Are you clicking save on top right after entering the details. has to be asked as happened to others.
Yes. But my “SAVE” screen does not look like your screen. It is a white popup screen that asks me to save. I have inserted a screen print. After I select “SAVE” then the next time I try to sign in to the same account, I have to reenter the password myself. the password was not saved. The same popup appears again asking me if I want to save the password. Please help. (your system will not allow a “new user” to upload a file so sorry, I can’t show you the screen print. Any work around for this?)
Make a couple of more replys here then you should be able to attach pictures.
Im not sure if mine may look different as i have dark mode set.
Have to ask these questions as we get weekly questions about the old version of password manager which was end of life i believe last February and was removed late last year.
On top right of your screen have you got a orange key with an exclamation mark (old version) or the added new extention which is the orange square on right of picture.
clicking on above should popup this second picture which you click + to add a new contact/password
When you click the + it should normally open the full page for you to add details and then the save button is on the top right.
The annoying thing is its not the same as other auto fills where it used to enter the details straight away. when you visit a site to log in you have to click on the orange square in the log in box for it to auto fill the saved email or password. when you click the orange square it then opens another box and when clicked it fills the save details.
Once you are able to post a screenshot we may get a better idea of how to advise further.
I do not have an orange key anywhere on the screen when I open the Avast browser app. Should I have it there?
No. I only asked as a lot of people are still trying to use this which has now been turned of as it is the old avast password manager (orange key below).
As long as your screen looks like all the above pictures then it should work. have you got the square orange box on right.
I still can not attach a file to show you what my Avast browser screen looks like. It does not have either of the orange key logos.
If you click on the up arrow will it not allow you to attach a picture. I have no idea how many posts you need as this is a newish forum but the old forum i believe it was 2 posts.
If you do not have the orange square then that could be the problem.
You need to add the Avast extention
