Password multi-device access and export issues

I’ve been using Avast Passwords on Android and PC for a while now. I’ve recently replaced my PC’s hard drive. Now I’m discovering a) that it seems impossible to export my data from Avast Passwords on Android and b) that I can’t re-install the app on PC. When I try to install Antivirus I get an error message that the servers can’t be reached. I don’t want to be dependent on just a mobile app, so I want to switch to a different service. How do I export my Android-based data?

How are you trying to install avast? From where and onto what? What OS
The latest version download is available here, https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=299095.msg1649279#msg1649279

First through the Avast Store website and I just tried that link. Both didn’t work. I’m using Windows 10 (x64).

Did you use the custom install selection when you installed? Did you select to install Passwords (old)?
If not, open App and Features via a right click on the start button next select to uninstall Avast
next select Customize when that option opens make sure you select Passwords (old) and finish by selecting
the Customize button to start the process.
Reboot the system.

Like I said, installing it doesn’t work. (The installer supposedly can’t get a server connection.) So no I haven’t done a custom install, nor am I able to toy with the options.

How are you connecting?
Are able to reach other sites?

Hi, for using Passwords on Windows, you only need Avast Antivirus. I’m not sure if you were trying to install the antivirus or anything else.
If you are facing difficulties with the online installer, please try the offline installer:
https://files.avast.com/iavs9x/avast_free_antivirus_setup_offline.exe

When installed, please follow these instructions to make Passwords visible in the antivirus:
https://support.avast.com/en-ww/article/Troubleshoot-Passwords/ (read from “Passwords disappeared”)

Hope that helps.

De oplossing is gevonden. Het was mijn huidige beveiligingssoftware (Ziggo Safe Online) die Avast blokkeerde. Dank voor het meedenken!
