hi. when i run a scan in windows (thorough, scan archives), i get an error message when avast scans a few files, mostly in lavasoft ad aware…“archive is password protected, cannot open.”
is there any way to prevent getting this error message? i do not get it at all when i do a boot time scan that scans archives.
I think you dont get the message at boot scan because boot scan doesn’t show you the archives it couldn’t scan. And as for not being able to scan password protected files, I dont think you can do something about it :-\

It is not that we don’t like you or are not willing to answer or something.
As Sherlock Holmes woulds say: “In contrary my friend, in contrary”
But having to answer questions that have been asked and answered many times before is getting borring/anoying for those who are trying to help others.
Besides, if you do some searching on thos webboard, avast’s website and google, you can find answers to questions much faster than when you ask in here (or any other webboard) and have to wait till someone is responding
