My password for my prior account came up as incorrect. I tried to reset it via email and was linked ,twice, to the same page which is the initial page to email for a new password. I was never linked to a page which could help me set up a new password for my existing account. This is important as it is the email acount i am able to send attachments from.
Please help me with instuctions on how to link to a page to reset my password. Thanks in advance. homeforever

I am sorry that i was not clear. It was the Avast password i was not able to retrieve as the 2 links Avast sent to me, via my old email account for your forum, kept leading me back to the original help for password page and not the page to change a password.
I did not tick the box which gives one the option to retrieve a password via the question and answer method.{ I had this option but with the password i always used to log in with and now was deemed as wrong??}
Yet, i was continually given a link back to this original page. I had no way to change the password, thus the new account.
I now realize that i can take a snap for information you may need and send any information to you with this new account i had to registered with Avast. Below is a snap of the Avast second email so you may see the linking problem and i may have the information to go back to my old account or at least cancel one of them. Thank you very much for replying and for helping.

Hi,
Yes it is the page, but with no writing or options below the box, as shown on your snap. I have tried to find the actual page to change my password in order to keep my old account. I can not do it. I have tried again to send myself emails promising me a link to reset my password with user name and email address, to no avail.
It is odd because the original password for the original account is safely recorded and fits the question for password retrieval. As it said " why is this left blank " for the answer to the question i never recorded the answer in the safe place as i did for the above.
Question: Could you please send me a link to the page that will allow me to reset my password with my user name and email address so i may retain my first account and cancel this one with the unwanted email address?
