This is a continuation of PC Random Reboots thread which I posted yesterday but it seems to me that it went to the records basket by now, so I decided to start a new thread.
Yesterday I said:
Since my last post, the PC worked fine for a few days but now it is back to the problem.
It could be between 3 to 4 days that started with similar trouble. Yesterday I run all scans, OTL CKScanner, aswMBR and ESET. The ESET reported the autorun files that I thought were deleted with the OTL fix run in _OTL folder, and deleted the whole moved files subfolders.
Today, when I started Win XP, rebooted before it loaded completly and the PC was completly unresponsive, it took over 2 minutes by the time it started by itself. Then within the first 5 or 7 minutes of operation rebooted again with same unresponsive sympton.
After that I run all scans and I will attach them in two posts, the OTL scan is 532KB and need to include it in the text one. This scan in the hosts file section is full of symbols, why is that? I thought the hosts file should be line of written text as before, but after the OTL fix run it is just symbols. Is there any way to make it as before?
I believe the answer is in the OTL scan, there are files that repeat mainly in the section of “Modified Within 30 Days” and the following “Files Created - No Company Name”.
I attach 3 files here and the OTL in the next post.
More details:
Today, I just switched on my PC and it works perfectly, no reboots at all.
Base on this, am I having a nasty thing that only works sometime or is it my PC controlled over the net? I do not know what to think by now.
Can anybody have a look at the scan and help me to get rid of it?
