Hi I am having PC start up/disk errors. I have ran the Seagate Seatools and the C:drive passed. About a week ago I did get a warning from Avast about a blocked website. Within the last week when the computer booted up I got a warning that Avast and my Malware software had been turned off. I run Malwarebytes(paid) Superantispyware (paid) Spybot and Mcshield. No scan has turned up anything. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated Thank You Jeff
a diagnostic log may help https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=53253.0
scroll down to Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and attach logs
Here are the FRST logs Thanks
I thought I would mention I am getting disk errors on my son’s PC also. Seems kinda strange to disk errors and startup problems on 2PCs in the same house.
Could you run chkdsk /r on your c drive please as you have a lot of found clusters on the system

Is it avast that tells you it is disabled or is it windows telling you?
Essexboy,
AppInit_DLLs: Hö& => Hö& File Not Found
That is a strange one.
Looks like something is corrupted somewhere.
A vast was shut off again this morning. I now have 2 Pcs doing the same thing. Windows 7 on one and Vista on the other both boot up with errors.
Cannot run chkdsk on the Vista file is corrupt and unreadable
A vast will not open on the Windows 7 pc. It says You are unprotected
Can you post a image (or a phew) of the errors?
Taken with a Digital camera, phone or something.
I was going to leave the appint until after the check disc but as it is now showing corrupt…
We will work one system at a time starting with the 7

Download the attached fixlist.txt to the same location as FRST
Run FRST and press fix
I am wondering if you actually have a file system problem with the power outages.
Does safe mode work OK ?
If so we will use clean boot to run things from normal windows
In the search box type Msconfig and select the programme that appears at the top
1.In the System Configuration Utility dialog box, click Selective Startup on the General tab.
