Pc won't turn on on normal mode pst the windows 7 Logo screen

Details can be found on this reddit post I made:

So youre able to get to windows using safe mode? Try removing avast then

download the windows 7 disc image then boot it up and do a startup repair.

I doubt avast would quarantine system files.

Uninstalling avast wouldn’t remove quaretine? And with it, all the the quarentined files?

Uninstalling Avast does remove the contents of the virus chest, it doesn’t send them back to the original location and it doesn’t send them to the Recycle Bin. They are gone.

Than uninstalling avast is a very big no no.

Why, they are in the Virus Chest for a reason, why would you want to leave the avast Virus Chest behind. If you left it behind in isolation, then there is no avast to be able to decrypt and move them out of the virus chest.

If you want to keep the contents (though I can’t see the reason you would want that), then I suggest you extract them from the virus chest before uninstalling.

Because I believe avast has put important files in the virus chest and I need to retrieve them.

Then restore them from the Virus Chest before uninstalling Avast.

If you ever feel that avast has put an ‘important’ file/s in the virus chest, you can submit them to avast for analysis from the virus chest immediately that it happens…

Avast won’t load its UI in safe mode, which is the only mode I have acess to right now.
In order for me to restore the contents in the virus chest, I need to have acess to Avast’s UI.

Unfortunately the point of Safe Mode is designed not to run many programs,if there is a conflict that hopefully gets round it.

Who are you trying to access the UI in safe mode, e.g. have you started avast or are you trying to run avastUI.exe ?

Have you recently done a Windows update in relation to Meltdown/Spectre ?
Some with certain processors (commonly AMD ones) have had a restart problem.
