Dear Forum,
PCTools Firewall Plus version 7 is running flawlessly on a Windows XP SP3 system.
I uninstalled PCTools Firewall Plus version 6.
Rebooted.
Installed PCTools Firewall Plus version 7.0.0.111 successfully.

have you ever tried comodo firewall? It’s abit hard but also more complex.
I haven’t tried the 7th version but I know that PCtools Firewall is good for it’s size.

Good luck to you on that firewall. I tested it and was hacked while on a banking site, so I don’t recommend it. Now I use OA on all my machines and it is stealth. ;D
Tried pc tools firewall once and after it ripped out my windows registration i never use again.
+1 and I was very angry about that when it happen >:( :o

Out of interest, which version of PCTools Firewall Plus twatted your system?
Myself, I have never tried it on my OS’s but a number of people I have worked with have and without exception had horror stories…but don’t be swayed if it is working for you. I do know there a many better and stronger FW available
