I have a new issue that I’d like some information on. I greatly appreciate the help I received recently with the Behavior Shield acting up.
The performance monitor still runs scans every now and then, even though “performance issues” is turned off under “Smart Scan”.
Any idea why this is happening?
I’m attaching 2 photos as evidence for any moderator to take a look at.
My system resources are pretty good (i5 2500K, 16GB of RAM, 6GB VRAM GPU, 2 1TB 7200rpm HDD’s), but it’s just a nuisance having the scan run itself and telling me via the lower screen ad that I have performance issues that need fixing.
Any ideas or solutions? Per my previous thread, I’ve already run the Repair Utility for Avast.

As you can see from the new attached screeshot, Performace Scan has no uninstall option under Installed Components.
Try the alternative method.
Hi there’s a second column (flow chart) to the right of the first, titled ‘Alternative method’. Did you try the second method?
Another way to access is to re-run avast install but this time choose Custom install instead of the standard install button.

Thank you once again! The alternative method did the trick. Very much appreciated for the help as always!
You’re welcome. Glad to hear the problem is solved.
