I called the support phone number 1.866.951.7679 and someone named Roy answered. My reason for calling was that the avast website showed that my account should expire November 2014 while on my pc, it showed that I had 0 days remaining on my subscription and that avast was disabled. And no matter what I did, it would not start or restart the avast protection. I was asking what is wrong. Why is my pc unprotected? Well, he was more interested in trying to sell me a pc repair policy where windows could be repaired remotely if I paid $179 for one year. I asked him to send me more information about this in an email and he said that this program is not offered that way (or said something to that effect). So I thanked him for letting me know about the program. And then he made a complaint ticket or at least said he did about my question. And I ended the phone call. Is this the right way that customers are supposed to be treated on the support phone line? Was he selling me something fishy?
Hi, wrong section. This is for viruses. I’ll see if I can find the correct place for you…
I’ve “Reported” this thread. A mod will come with a link for you to receive proper support for your issue
Please report it to Adam Riley: http://forum.avast.com/index.php?action=profile;u=16074
that link to report to Adam Riley does not lead me anywhere that I can go… so?
You can mail him at: riley[at]avast.com
Or simply select “Send personal message” on his profile page.
Won’t work, as one needs 20 posts to send a PM.
