1st let me say that I think avast has a great program and one that I will support and pass on to my friends, in business.
But, I found the SYSHOST.EXE virus, and followed all the directions to get it out, but nothing worked, it would not go away.
I am running win2000 pro and I am the administrator.
I downloaded virusclean, that didnt help either, so my only alternative was to reformat which I did.
Any other solutions for getting this virus out?

Basically, the existence of the file syshost.exe is an indication of a possible infection.
