Hi! I urgently need help please. I already unlinked my device from my Avast account last Mayu 18 so that it won’t trigger any anti-theft warning when I change the sim card. But when I changed my sim today, it automatically locked my phone and just continuously says that it was lost/ stolen. Another weird thing is, Avast is not even installed in my phone!

But it shouldn’t happen if I unlinked it already and it’s uninstalled from my phone already right?
Unlinking it doesn’t help, uninstalling it does.
Unlinking doesn’t stop avast from doing what it is supposed to do.
If avast isn’t installed, it can’t give you a warning.
So yes, avast is (still) installed on your phone.
I uninstalled the app since last year. I’m using AVG now.
It’s no longer listed in the apps currently installed in my phone.
Could you post a screenshot.
Most probably you installed it hidden.
My phone model is an LG G2, would you happen to know how to see hidden apps? Thanks!
Depends on if it is rooted or not.
Fact is that avast is still there.
