Avast will protect your machine. Avast will be developing an AV for mobile phones, but it has not been released to the public yet. You can keep checking this part of the forum http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=65103.0 and read what other AV’s are available; there are also suggestions on how to avoid getting malware and security news. Check the forum for when Avast releases the AV for mobile phones.

Yes, you can get malware (viruses) directly on your phone and not from your machine. This is becoming more of a problem these days.

But as to how to reinstall the OS on your phone, we are not familiar with how to do this. That is why we are suggesting we have you contact the people who make your phone and your phone provider (both of them)…or if the malware is that bad, you may need a new phone if it cannot be removed. Remember, many mobile malware steals your data…your Contacts, calender, email account if stored on your phone, credit card if used and stored on your phone, stored and dialed phone numbers, etc. So do not wait on this or you could become a victim of ID Theft. Make the phone calls as we suggested.
