Phone support

hmmm,

You know i have been a supporter of avast and have recommended the PAID versions for many many years, but !! after today’s horrible experience when I called Aus AVAST support on behalf of one of my clients who is deaf and obviously couldn’t call herself, the question was simple, her computer died big time and it was simply much more cost effective to build a new computer and connect her old hard drive to the new computer and transfer all her data to the new one.

All I needed to know was how to transfer the Avast license from the old computer to the new computer, I informed the person that i was a tech and doing the work on behalf of my client.

He simply was NOT INTERESTED in helping me !!! and told me she would have to call, DUH!! she’s DEAF !!!

and really even if she wasn’t WHY WOULDN’T HE TELL ME WHAT THE PROCEDURE WAS ?

really Avast that sucks!

It seems all too many companies are all sweet and happy until there is a problem then they don’t want to know you !!!

well guess what happens to those companies ? THEY GO BROKE !!

any company that takes your money then doesn’t want to help you…

i am disgusted and appalled at your service.

I await your reply !!! unless of course you dont care about your paid customers , then of course you wont reply…

The phone help isn’t directly Avast, it’s a third party support group.

Help is given here ( Avast support forum ) for free, to transfer the license you simply open the Avast email that was originally sent containing the license file on the new system and double click on the file.

If you don’t have that original email still you’ll need to get a resend http://www.avast.com/resend-license-paid.php using the original email address that was first used for the purchase.

    • Uninstall on old machine.
  • Reinstall on new machine.
  • Enter license. Done.
