Photodex ProShow Producer executable slideshow file as false positive

Hi, I’m Andrea.

I’m experiencing a couple of days of having problems running the executable files with slideshows created in years of using the software “Proshow Producer” of Photodex.

The executable in question is a file that is created in the program in place of the video in which the slideshows are the highest quality and without compression.

For a couple of days instead of all exe files created over the years are seen as suspicious files reporting the presence of the following viruses: “W32: Evo-gen”.

I’m 100% that they are false positives because until recently all worked perfectly.

Scanning the single file moreover shows that there is no virus.

The version of Avast! free in use is as follows:

Software version: 7.0.1474
Virus definition version: 130224-0
Number of definitions: 4,061,931

Unfortunately, I tried to send the file via the specific form but as an executable rather large (39 mb) I was not possible to conclude the post.

Thank you for your help.

Andrea

Mails subject: False Positive
