Photoshop in the Sandbox

My Photoshop (PS) was put in the Sandbox. I chose to bypass it and have since discovered my images, when re-saved using PS, take a long time to come up in viewing programs, rendering the slide show feature useless. I assume there is a virus but nothing turns up in Avast scans, and I find nothing on-line discussing new viruses in PS. Suggestions?
