Picture lost its quality?

I made my self a Wallpaper, it looked all clear and perfect. Then the next day it looked worse than a .jpg pic

The actual file is like that to =(

Was the picture saved on your PC? or directly set as wallpaper via right click on an internet picture?

I made it in gimp, Then I opened it and set as background
