Recently when I changed my SIM, on entering the new SIM, avast blocked my phone and asked for the PIN, now I have forgotten my PIN number. But again when entered my old SIM (which was working fine with avast ant-theft), it again sounded the same warning and asked for PIN to unblock.
avast! doesn’t send the password to our servers and there is no master key for security reasons. Many customers remembered their password when I told them, that it’s 4-6 digits, only numbers.
Also there’s a big issue with this product, if anyway if you have forgotten your PIN and have not earlier linked an online accnt with anti-theft your device is gone(atleast all the data).
The s/w doesn’t accept even the original SIM once you have inserted a new SIM!
-It didn’t send any SMS to my registered numbers when I have changed my SIM, so it didn’t serve it’s primary purpose as well…jusrt sounding the alarm on the phone doesn’t help much.
