Please assist: need to submit file to avast

Im instructed to send an infected file and compress it with a password to avast.

How do i locate the file in order to send it to avast? It is currently in the virus chest.

How do i compress the file ? And How do i set a password for it?

Do i need some other software to compress the file?

If it is in the virus chest, you can send it by right clicking on it and choose " Submit to Virus lab… " Please add as much info as possible.

whery easy...when 7zip is installed, rigt click the file .then find 7zip in your right click menu and add to archive a box will pop up, write in the password and click OK a 7zip file should now appear at same place as the file you right clicked on
