Hey there, I am using Avast and I realized that Avast is one of the best that I have used with real time shields. But one thing I am disappointed at is because of the new update that I can’t even download it via GUI. My internet is slow today and can’t handle to download the whole client and I just want to download the update not the client. I don’t like v.5.1.864 because I received BSOD after shutting down my pc. Please let us download the update via GUI.
Avast 5.1.874 is pre release and thats why its not (and wont) avaliable from to the gui

Yes, a Pre-Release is for testing purposes. The first time you should always download the installer of a Pre-Release, Beta etc. Once installed you can update them from the GUI as well, also to a Final Release when available.
