please help, cannot install avast at all!

please help!

i downloaded the setupeng file, but when i clicked on it to install the program, an error message says:

C:\WINDOWS\Desktop\setupeng.exe is not a valid Win32 application.

can anyone help? or do i have to download it all over again?

Most probably… Try downloading it again. Do you use dial-up? Do you use any download manager?

Oh, are you infected or your system is clean?

thanks for ur help! i just downloaded it again, and everything is fine now. the file must have been corrupted when i downloaded it the first time.

Hi new to the avast forum

I have a problem with installing avast home and pro used kasperski av installed it started in stalling avast got message ks perski is still installed cant have 2 av running avast then disabled 2 features from the program but kasperski is 100% un in stalled

I recomend you use a good Registry Cleaner.
If you search this board or click on ‘Links’ in my signature, you can find some of them.
Isn’t there any uninstaller tool from Kaspersky to download and run?

Run this utility to remove all traces of Kaspersky from the registry:

http://www.ice-kav.com/downloads/util/KAV_Registry_Clean.zip

ICE is a US distributor for Kaspersky.

That uninstaller worked fantastic wish i had it Thursday night would have saved me 2 hours of frustration and stress trying to remove kasperski done the job in 30 sec installed avast perfectly
