hey. I have win32.downloader.gen also. i think i got it when i tried to download daemon tools. I have run spybot also. I downloaded the otl. i will include the txt. documents. Any help would be appreciated.

thanks for your help. I got a little over zealous. I am going to actually follow the sticky and repost all the most current logs. so that tomorrow it will go smoothly.

sorry to be a posting machine. I decided to run spybot again to see if it came up. It did not come up. I think one of the tools i used got rid of it. If you guys still want to look into it to make sure that would be appreciated. If you think it is fine tho that is cool too.

hey spybot has proven to be 100% ineffective, and a waste of harddisk.
Malwarebytes antimalware is the better option here :wink:

Looks like MBAM killed it apart from whitesmoke

Warning This fix is only relevant for this system and no other, using on another computer may cause problems

Be advised that when the fix commences it will shut down all running processes and you may lose the desktop and icons, they will return on reboot

Run OTL

nope everything seems fine. Although malwarebytes keeps blocking ip addresses thru utorrent. will that prevent me from seeding properly?

Yes the MBAM blockage will stop the connection

Run OTL and press the cleanup button
Run AdwCleaner and press uninstall
