I installed Avast in D:/ (my internal hard drive for storage) instead of C:/ but was stupid enough to forget to but it in a folder (I thought it would automatically put the files into a new folder when I switched directories). I panicked and uninstalled it, but the uninstaller got stuck.
After rebooting, now when I try to make any changes in D:/ , a popup appears: “Destination Folder Access Denied … You need to confirm this operation”. I can still make changes after manually clicking continue, but this check messes up a lot of other things, such as automatic browser downloads and Microsoft office saving.
I’ve already tried system restores and giving my user all permission to the D drive, but this issue persists. Can anyone please help in any way?
