Please help keep getting malware gen virus when using browser!

Hi guys im having a serious issue i cannot fix and it is really starting to worry me since this is a brand new computer and I really cant afford for anything to go wrong with it now. whats happening is whenever i open a browser such as fire fox opera or internet explorer i get a message from my avast stating its blocked a vbs malware gen, i ran a scan 3 times now and it detected 2 viruses once and the other scans came out clean, i also did a malware bytes scan with the rootkit option enabled and that didnt pick up anything at all but everytime i use the internet avast keeps saying its blocking these viruses. Please can anybody help me since ive tried all the usual things but nothing seems to be working any help would be very much appreciated thank you.

i should also state that my computer is a windows 10 pc if that helps

I started having the same issue tonight after restarting my computer. When Chrome is open I get this Avast popup every 15 minutes or so:

I think this seems like a false positive in the latest virus definitions update.

i think avast is having an issue with its definitions and is reporting alot of false positives atm

Thanks for all the messages guys I know it sound bad to say but I’m glad it’s not just me experiencing this issue otherwise it would have made me panic more and I stress easy so to hear it seems to be a widespread problem helps a little due to the fact that means avast should be working hard on fixes or answers and hopefully it’s as one of the commenters said these are just false positives and avast will have it sorted soon since just like the other reports mine happen roughly every 10 to 15 minutes and when I was infected it infected my ubisoft for honor game and my Skype seems a little odd to infect them and my pictures file which just has band pics and not my important files. Thanks again guys hopefully a fix soon

I got the exact same message 1WeirdBug has using Opera… And even got one of the sort while using Firefox in Avast’s search engine…lol

Thank god it’s not just me as well. Came back from school and bam started getting Vbs:malware notifications on sites such as twitch etc. Is there actually a virus on my computer or is something broken?

I just did a full scan and boot scan and it showed up hundreds of files as VBS malware:gen even though this had never showed up on scans before. I don’t go to dodgy websites or open attachments in emails, so where has this suddenly come from? Is this a false positive or should I be worried?
