Hi everyone,
Im having a major problem with my internet at the moment.
When i log on under my username, i cant view web pages. The internet connects, but the bar at the bottom of the screan never completes, and never loads a page. However, if i go on to my otherhalfs username it all works fine, but just a little slower than usual.
We are using windows xp.
This is the first time this has ever happened, and it wasnt like it last time i used the pc.
I am wondering if some settings have somehow been changed though, as when i get the pop up msg saying a new version of avast is ready to be installed, it said it couldnt do it. I know i had this problem some time ago and you guys told me how to fix it - and it was something to do with my settings.
Also, can anyone tell me what a proxy server is? And should i be using one?
