Please Help me!

i scanned my pc with avast, and luckily no detections of viruses! but when i scanned it with MBAM, it appears that it has an infected files! I attached my last log when i scanned with MBAM.

  1. can someone help me explain this log and what would i do with those files in quarantine?
  2. Is Avast and MBAM have a different functions? and different detections?

Thanks

Hello icezbox

can you extract the file comsa32.sys from quarantine of mbam to a folder on desktop, upload it to virustotal.com and give us the link, please. might be a false positive.

with my big respect to mbam and its good scan of registry "avast dont scan " avast like the big tank that has all things and mbam like a cube of paper, avast can detect and repair VIRUSES mbam cant, avast can detect live rootkits mbam cant, avast!is one of the big guys mbam not. avast engine developed from a long time mbam not. avast has a lot of real awards"not softpedia or download.com or...."like av-comparatives and anti malware lab.ru you can trust avast to protect you but you cant trust mbam"is there any one trust to put mbam alone in the face of rootkits and viruses?"

sir superhacker! is it advisable to use avast and MBAM in one computer?

There is no problem in using both as my signature will attest. I’m using the free version which is on-demand only, but there are others using the paid option which is resident.

The main issue is not to use two resident anti-virus applications, the same is true of not using two resident anti-spy/malware applications.

MBAM and avast! work great together like butter on toast.

icezbox , I have both Avast! and MBAM and they work just fine together.

Thanks for your Advices! Is it safe to delete files infected by virus when im running in Safe Mode??

can i delete all files in quarantine?

Hello icezbox,

comsa32.sys, detected as trojan.agent, is a false positive by mbam. you can restore it back to the original location(ie., C:\WINDOWS\system32). and others in the list can be deleted without problems.

i dont say mbam and avast cant work together, but avast is more powerful, but mbam is good for scanning registry.thanks

Maybe you guys can add a Threatfire just to make the protection stronger^^

you are welcome.
