Please Help Rootkit In System 32

This is my first time using a forum so I apologize if my etiquette is not so good.

Ive used AVGfree and aswMRB-(Did not run fix, just scan and save log for use in this topic)

I can not confirm this but before running aswMRB im close to certain avg came up with spdt.sys, After running aswMRB it changed to spot.sys.

I researched for a couple days but would rather not cause permanent harm to my PC out of foolishness.

I have included a picture of my AVG results, and the save log from aswMRB.

Thank you for your assistance.

Follow this guide and attach (not copy and paste) logs from Malwarebytes / OTL

Hi

Service sptd C:\windows\System32\Drivers\sptd.sys **LOCKED** 32
Do you have any CD Emulator programs such as Daemon tools, alcohol etc. That certainly looks like one of their files.

That is an FP with the latest AVG update, I have fielded two exactly the same at G2G. Uninstalled Daemon tool, ran defogger. Voila no more rootkits

Attached my mbam log, as for CD emulators I had daemon installed around a year ago, uninstalled it shortly after.

Lo and behold after running defogger no rootkits were found!

Thank you essexboy and everyone else, will do a few more scans to make sure there is no other malware on my system.

No problem I just had a ready answer as I fixed two yesterday ;D
