Please help! virus disabled my Avast!

Ok thanks for reading guys, this my first forum.

ok so when i started my computer in the morning to check my facebook and few other things, I noticed my computer took far to long to start up and the internet would not connect, even on our other 2 computers (only after It started up) so i did my usual proccess for slow starting computers, (msconfig and disable startup items) I clicked disable all and enabled Avast UI and intel media acceleration driver. I also did a full system scan, It found nothing. I then restarted the computer and it took same amount of time (if not longer) to start up this time… ARGH!!! so i opened up msconfig again but this time, i noticed it said “Selective Startup” was checked… all the options for it were also ticked (PROCESS INI, WIN INI, LOAD SYSTEM SERViCES etc.) this was extremely odd, I remember a few days before it was checked to normal startup but cant remember first time I started up.
So i thought that might stop all this weird behaviour, i clicked normal startup… It said ‘Administrative rights were inadquite’ or something of the sort, So clicked ‘ok’ and went to startup tab… i noticed that everything was checked again!!! so i disabled all except avast again and restarted my computer… after the login screen, and waiting a min. i small blue and red box came up on the screen asking for a password with a timer counting down from 10… i didnt want to put my password incase it was a hoax for my password. so i just left it there, and then a shutdown timer appeared in plane black and white… it started at 10:14… do i thought ill do shutdown -a and might help… so i got it ready, but to my surprise it shutdown at 10:00 not 0:00… the computer shut down and i had not clue what happened!!(btw i also opened task manager to try and stop proccess but didnt know the name if the proccess and what i did think look suspicious wouldnt let me close it)
So after my computer started again!! i noticed that the login screen flashed to windows classic theme, then back to normal. however this time, I logged into a backup Administartor Account, After I logged in, about 10secs later, all programs came up (obviously msconfig startup were all enabled again) and perminently changed to windows classic theme!!.. SO! i tried a system restore, but after it it would always say ‘RESTORATION DIDNT COMPLETE’ in bright red writing. I really don’t have a clue what to do!! I then opened up Avast for another full system scan, then thought a Boot scan would be better, so i set it to work, I restarted and the scan came up and started scanning, it found a few corrupt file (just a couple songs and pdf’s) I didnt think much of it… after the scan it loaded up windows in classic theme… i thought okay, this is fuc*ed now and put my flash drive in to save a few files of it (thinkin that it might be my last chance) and the flashdrive flashed then did nothing… i tried my computer> flashdrive, but it wasnt there, i tried send to on the file i was trying to backup, but nothing!! I said Okay ill wait till morning and have a look, I need some advise on what my next steps should be, I want to backup just a few files, then maybe reinstall windows? I dont have a clue! I have lost the recept from purchase but still wouldnt be under warranty. My Specs for my NETBOOK are: atom 1.6ghz, 1gb RAM, 160 HDD , running WINDOWS HOME EDITION (legal from stock) and anything else you want to know please ask… Thank you SO much for reading my forum, I am using my PC for college and would be absouleutley lost without it!!
