Every time I receive an automatic update on Avast Free I continue to see "Engine and Definations Current Version 130627-0. How do I know that the latest definations have been installed when the "130627-0 always remains the same, or should this number change with each automatic update. (Today 6/27/2013 I received Avast Emergency Update, but the # remains the same, if related to updates.

as long as you dont get any error messages the program is working as it should… so dont worry.

the website sometimes show a older VPS number then your AV since updating the website has a lower priority then pushing out new updates
You could create a desktop folder. If you do this you will be able to see both the regular vps updates and the streaming updates. 8)
Right click on the avast icon>click “open file location”>right click “defs” folder>click “create shortcut”
