Please implement Google C2DM

At the title say, please work on using google C2DM. You would have a lot more control over the phone, it would be much more secure, and it wouldn’t leave out the users who don’t have SMS, or rely on some other form of SMS (like google voice, and those that have their cell phone carriers SMS blocked by the carrier.

Most other competitors use this method. mobiledefense, seekdroid, and probably just about any other program or service out there that offers remote tracking, lock, wipe, ect.

hehe a thing that most people do not know:

whenever the SIM card gets changed on the phone, the phones google account will be invalidated (you have to reenter your password) → C2DM will NOT work anymore.

our web interface that will be released soon implements C2DM AND SMS as fallback. thats the only thing that makes sense.

good to know you guys are adding it soon. I could have sworn mobledefense and seekdroid, which both use C2DM, can handle SIM changes. I have 2 different SIMs (the account on one is not active), i’ll have to play around one day and see what happens.

Can anyone please tell me how to use this crap? I have registered four times and submitted two support tickets. I have four different passwords to login to four different avast sites but not one of them has any information on how to use the damn thing.

can you specify more clearly what is your problem?
