I like Avast apart from the fact that it is constantly speaking out loud to tell me nothing interesting or useful at all (the virus definitions have been updated, at least once per day, and I’m happy for it I really am, but I just don’t need to know).
I can’t bear it any longer because it is really annoying and interupts me. But the only option I can find in settings is for silent mode and it says that turns off all messages / pop ups / alerts. I want to still know if something is blocked, or if the computer gets infected. I just don’t want to be constantly shouted at (if I’ve been listening to music, it really does shout at me) about virus definitions.
Is there any way I can stop it?
