Please start your own thread instead of posting in another person’s thread. Doing this causes confusion for those trying to help as well as those being helped.

Even if you think you have a similar problem, the OS of various computers as well as different computer settings, other installed software that may not be the same, and a myriad of other factors can all play a part in making the problem (and the solving of the problem) different from your own problem.

So please … START YOUR OWN THREAD.

I appreciate what you’re saying, but …

While I agree that problems many of us have experienced, particularly with v5, may be due to (or aggravated by) any number of different things, it would be highly inconvenient to have to hunt through umpteen different topics apparently relating to the same problem to find the one(s) relevant to one’s own system configuration. We’re already seeing that now, particularly with regard to auto-update problems … I typically get in here once a day, and before v5 was finalized topics with new postings would usually fit on just the most current page of the index. But now it’s usually the better part of 3 pages.

Maybe a reasonable compromise would be if “child” forums could be set up each relating to a specific problem area, such as auto-updates. Any chance of doing it that way?
