i really am computer stupid
my problem is Win32:NcasseSpy[Trj]
avast wont delete it,housecall doesnt see it, spybot nuker deleted infected files but avast says i still have a virus
I have win xp but dont know how to restore please can someone walk me though something to get rid of the virus? thanks

please tell us the exact virusname and where avast found it, i.e. the full path and filename of the trojan (see avast’s report/logfile for this)
you migth also try the online scan by KAV (Link see below)
can you delete it in SafeMode ?(press f8 when booting till you see a menue; choose safeMode there); then delete the trojan file with avast or manually
if it’s found (only) in the RESTORE folder, you need to disable system restore:

reboot, and it will gone; then reenable system restore
I think Antivir PE calls it TR/Ncase . It is a kind of Spyware. You should try Adaware(www.lavasoft.de) or Spybot(security.kolla.de) to get rid of it. (You have to disable the Avast Guard if you run one of the Programms).
