These are backup files of system files from your computer. They are not infected, but if the original files are infected or damaged, you can restore them from this part of the chest.

When you want to look for infected files in the chest, click on the Skull and cross bones icon.

i jux recover my com from malware and the files are inside of the Avast’s Virus Chest… so wat u recomment me to do??? i’ll post a HJT for ur review…

yiren1, let the files there… they’re there for backup purposes… read again Frank’s post.

Those are not malware they are copies of important files you can restore them if they get infected by keeping one with avast

thx for telling me… and will not do anything abt it…

Welcome to the forums, yiren1.

Most of the time, only files in the “Infected files” section of the Virus Chest need to be worried about.

Oo. ic. i tot i got malware again…

yiren1, run a full avast scanning or a boot time scanning to be sure you’re clean and nothing comes back to infect the computer…

thx for teling me… and i will do a full system scan tmr…
