plugin-container.exe showing up in Behavior Shield.

Today I upgraded Flash to 11.3.300.257 and I noticed one time when plugin-container.exe started up it added it to the behavior shield, it’s seemed to only have done this once, I didn’t notice anything wrong and I was just watching youtube at the time, should I be worried about this? Sorry I can’t provide more information I didn’t notice it was tagged as a suspicious event. Doing virus scans now but not seeming to find anything.

plugin-container.exe is a part of firefox. please read this article to find out more “what is plugin-contain.exe” - http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/What%20is%20plugin-container I wouldn’t be worried at all

Oh I know what it is, I was just worried if it meant anything showing up there, but I won’t be worried about it.

If it is showing up next to “last event analyzed:” then it’s ok

It showed up by last suspicious event, but it hasn’t done so again.

In that case i would say to the the Behavior Shield and add it as a trusted process? It will be in programs files folder in the mozilla firefox… that is what i would do… but i don’t know about the others.

It only happened once and it seemed to make no difference and I didn’t even notice it, I was just wondering if I should be worried about it, but you said I shouldn’t so I’ll just let it go.

if u feel worried…make a exclusion ;D

Lots of files are likely to show up in the behavior shield (it is usually called by the File System Shield) as having been scanned and why, the only thing that you should be concerned with is did the behavior shield block it. In this case it hasn’t or presumably it would have A) alerted and or B) firefox plug-ins may not have worked as they should.

So in essence there is no need to add this file to the trusted processes.
