Poll: Which browser do you use (most)?

There is nothing stopping you doing that with any browser in windows 7, pin the browser to the taskbar and you can have the browser open any number of default pages when it opens. Firefox will open all previously open tabs when you closed firefox last when it is started. That can be from a shortcut or from being pinned to the taskbar. So there is nothing unique about IE9 being able to do this.

You’re the looser stuck on XP.

Especially IE9 64bit. 8)

Use mainly the fox
But also use safari and ie9(4bit)
And thunderbird for my pop3 account

IE 9 for me ;D

Sorry YoKenny I’m moving over to W7 Pro soon and IE9 will still become a sore looser while I’m still using FF as always, beside IE9 are for arseholes because we can get better protection with extra addons in FF and you’re out numbered YoKenny  IE9 are for little puppy dogs.

Firefox 4.0 RC2 all the way. Already got my vote.

I also use Chrome sometimes but overall I prefer Firefox because of security of browser itself and the add-ons (like NoScript).

Chrome has features similar to NoScript too, but Built-in

Firefox!

IE 'cos I don’t have to rummage around for addons to make it functional ;D

Opera!

The only way I would make IE9 my default browser is as 64bit.

But the 64bit version can’t be made the default. ::slight_smile:

I’m using the the 64bit version of FlashPlayer (beta),

but it doesn’t work in all FlashPlayer applications.

Full FlashPlayer use would be required as well as ShockWave.

It will be years before IE would meet my demands. ::slight_smile:

This is why I hate FF (with my malware removal hat on) Spot the redirect bad add on

I use Flock browser. 8)

Firefox,a bit dissapointed since plugin-container uses more than 10% cpu or so

Firefox for me

I voted for chrome for its lightning fast speed.

I still use firefox for most of my file downloading purposes. IE for MS products that require validation. Opera for my university’s internet.

The proportion is being kept since the beginning of the poll.
Seems that forum users, who read more about programs, who have different opinions, have their own preferences that does NOT match the market share ones.

Because we are smarter.

Well, that is somewhat expected, I think. Most here are quite techie, and would understand what you meant by browser, but I suppose the market share represents the more typical user better. Most people simply use IE because it is there when they buy the computer. The only way that they would know other wise is the Browser Choice selection thing (I believe this was EU only though…never could understand the reasoning behind going after that decision…) But having other options would just confuse things further for the typical user…imagine trying to explain what the browser choice window was, and then what a browser was over the phone to someone whose knowledge reaches as far as searching on google…

This poll also highlights one other thing. The “best” browser is (in a similar fashion to AV’s) a very subjective thing. It is more down to your experience with the browser…and as for security, while people seem to definitively say that IE is not safe, I think it is more down to browsing habits, common sense, and the fact that simply, it has a higher user base, so obviously, out of all infected people, it will feature more…I don’t generally think that one browser is safer than the other…

essexboy, I would guess at one of the many (no name found) ones? Is it because it uses the long strings of numbers and letters that makes it harder to spot?

Google Chrome which I voted for when this poll first came out.
I thought this was for voting only not discussions ???
I guess I read something wrong… ;D
