I just find the Alwil Classic easier to read and it is softer on the eyes.

looked for them yesterday and gave up :-\

To access the themes, makes sure your logged into the forums first, then click the profile button at the top of the page, then on the left side of the new screen click ‘look and layout preferences’, then it ill say something like ‘Current Theme: ALWIL classic Theme (change)’ near the top, click ‘(change)’ to choose from a list of themes, then click ‘apply new theme’ to keep it.

i decided i would go back to pavels original announcement and discovered a reference there to profile so bingo all fixed ,got thrown originally by so much new stuff and no time to sort it all. Helois is my choice by a mile

I like Themis… Hellious is too dark for me :stuck_out_tongue: and sorry but Im not crazy about orange in some of the others lol

I stuck with the “out of the box” default until this morning, then a few minutes ago switched over to YABB Classic which I’ll probably keep. For various reasons, I tend to be a lot more comfortable with old-and-familar things.

I was interested to see one change in the default this morning, before I changed – someone had the brains to change certain parts of the color scheme in that. The original coloring for the “Messages” status note at the top-right was almost unreadable yesterday, at least on my computer and to my eyes, but is much better today.

I noticed that in several themes that there is a border/space around the various elements of the page, for me this doesn’t work well as I don’t use white as my default windows ‘window’ colour. So for any one like me not using the windows white you get a coloured space surrounding the elements, see image attached.

So for me and anyone else not using white as the standard windows background, there are only a few themes that work.

I liked the default NEW theme untill the colors got changed. Now it’s very hard on the eyes and I had to go back to the old YABBA theme.

different monitors, different settings bob :slight_smile: I find it much easier on the eyes for me. The orange was horrid and too bright.
