How am I supposed to get customer assistance when I have questions that don’t really require technical assistance? What is the trick to getting answers?
Two current questions, in case anyone out there can answer them are:
*Is the password protection offered in Avast Passwords already included in Avast Premier and thus unnecessary to buy as it just duplicates
the service?
*I installed Premier and Passwords and on the “Licenses” page it does say they are “Valid”. Is that the same as “Active” or do I need to take
another step to activate the licenses?
I feel like I am running around circles when I try to find the information on line: The screens I am referred to do not have the information requested. When I send my questions on line to technical support, I find it can take too long to get an answer, if they do answer. I am frustrated to the point of cancelling.

Thanks for the information. To clarify: On the licences page after it says they are valid, it says
“You have licenses available to use. Choose license.” What is that about?

If the Subscription window on Avast Premier shows the subscription as valid, including your customer number and expiration date, then it is active.
The “Use license” box is to change the license, in case you have purchased another one.

Passwords is available with all editions of Avast Antivirus 2016, including Avast Free Antivirus. Several basic features are available. For additional features, you can upgrade to the premium version.
While the regular version of Passwords is included in all editions of Avast, the premium version of Passwords is to be purchased as a standalone product.
